You're not even going. I have off the first week of Feb and this is less than three weeks from when I get back from Rabbit Ears.

I've been waiting on setting any dates until BJ decides when he can make it out here for the ride. I think it's more important that he can make it. When I talked with him a couple weeks ago he said he was bringing some of Laura's ashes to put on the mountain. So once I know his time off to head this way that's when the ride will be.

I'm happy BJ is going to try going, that's awesome.

Excellent planning RMK, he is the one to schedule it all around. Just post it up here and I'll shift things around to make it.

Is there a time frame on when he is coming? Did he say a month or give you an idea?

The last I had mentioned it to him I thought sometime in early Feb would work the best and have the best snow. The problem is trying to figure out how to get the memorial stone up the mountain since it's bigger than I thought. I talk with BJ about every Friday and I think Lauras parents would like to come out too.

Possibly/probably use a sled to tow it up. I've got a couple buddies that have a towable poly tub type sled that would be big enough. I think they tow pretty well.

Rock, if you want to come, come. We'll all make sure you hang with us. You'd be surprised just how high and far you can get in another sleds tracks.

Just do it.

For the guys that want to come but think they don't have a sled able to get up there, trust me it's not that tough. Unless we get a big 5 foot snow storm then it's tough even with a longtracked sled. Ask me how I know.:D Indygirl would follow me up there with her old indy 500 with a shitty track and made it just fine. I don't want to make this so hard to get up there that no one enjoys it. We've got some time to figure out how to get the stone up there we just need some responsible party to pull the sled with stone up there. That counts me out cause I'm sure I'll be breaking trail if need be and I like to play alot along the trail.

I don't know about the responsible part, but I can pull it up (I think - depends on how hard it pulls and overheating). And if it's one of the flat bottomed sleds, it will pack in a trail wide enough for anyone on a short track to follow.

If I pull it up, someone else pulls it out.......lol

Come on Rock, you can make it. Bring the short track. Also, if this is costing 3 grand I won't be going either. I have never spent that much for any trip out west.

where are you coming from? is MN on your way? carpool?

I am strongly thinking of extending the 700 and putting a 1.5" track on it.
but i will have to miss the UP ride.

I am in Central, WI. I was either going to IL to meet up with those guys and ride out or I can head your way and ride out with you. I guess it doesn't matter. We will need to see who is going and who is riding where. You know rock, I do have 2 800 RMK's. There is a possibility we could take them both and you could leave the short track. That would be more a decision for later though.
