Default Hand Warmers not working

I just picked up a 98 XC 700 that is piped and clutched. Runs great but have a few problems. I got most of the kinks worked out but one. I tried to use my hand warmers today and they didn't work i checked all the conections and all is fine, put a test light on the wires and no juice going to the switch. Any Idea what it could be or what else I can check before I start taking it apart.

It's probably a loose connection down at the voltage regulator.
