Anyone? Brand new. I decided I want one with a zipper in the front.

What is a good/fair price? It is brand new and the one I bought at Hay Days (never used).

I was hoping for around $250 but dunno if that is high.

I seem to remember cautioning you against buying that one Cuzz ..... which are you going to buy now? That one you bought retails for $379, the Freestyle retails for $249. Plus if you want the shoulders pads it's an additional $71 ......

Yeah $250 for the one you have isn't bad.

I have a guy who wants to trade me a slightly used (3 times) Super Sport for my Trail Pro. $60 difference and mine has never been used. Thoughts?

SS Blows like Harry on a drunk Friday night ....... IMO.

Too heavy and thick, may as well throw on 3 - 4 sweatshirts.

For the kind/style of riding you supposedly do, I would think so. Again just my opinion. It's light, easy on/off, and though it helps insulate, it isn't too hot. Seems to breath pretty well too. Once you get it adjusted the way it's comfortable to you, won't even know it's there till you hit the bars or a tree.

Never had a problem with the Super Sport. Cut back on a layer to compensate for it and all is good. Don't even know it is there. I would equate thicker with more protection but then I have never worn the Freestyle. Tek Rider themselves refer to the Freestyle as "Entry-level upper-body protection for all trail riders" and the Super Sport as " the ultimate upper body protection for all trail riders." Only words but they are from the manufacturer. I have friends that wear both and none complain about either style. All have stated that they are accustomed to wearing them. Really, I think they are all good. Wear what you are comfortable in. I recently bought a new Cat version of the super sport for like $175.00 and used one for $90.00 (worn more than three times). Prices included shipping. Keith, just wear mine next weekend and I will wear Taylors and you can see if it is what you want. Best prices I have found on Tek Vests excluding the occasional e-bay find:
