Default ATV Drag results

Went drag racing yesterday, here are the results. Shane race a blaster twice during practice so I bumped him up to the blaster class as well as the 90cc class. He took 2nd in the 90 class and got beat out in the next class by a 300ex and a 200ex 3 wheeler. But he didn't loose either by much. This video is him racing the 300ex, it would have been a little closer cause Shane started and stopped then restarted.
I got 2nd in the 450 class.
lol after seeing this thread posted, the 3 wheeler in the embedded video is the 200 3wheeler that beat Shane. That guy barely beat Shane.

I was just wondering how you guys did this summer. Guess this sheds some light on it.

Shane did pretty good racing all summer. We're really dialing his quad in. My latest improvement was a bigger carb, and I'm thinking about going even larger. Amazing how much power is in that thing, and you can tell there is more there to get.

This was the first time I placed all summer lol.

Thought the 450 was FI?

Biggest improvement area's on that:

Bored carb or larger injector for FI
Port the head
less restrictive exhaust
of course running pods, or remove the airbox cover
and any sort of timimg modifications to get better burn out of the motor. don't think you wanna drop cam's into there do ya? but i hear the KX450F dirtbike cams really waken that motor up.

I was referencing Shane's quad when I said I changed his carb. Original was 15mm, I installed a 20mm but don't think it's big enough still.

As for mine, I have Dynojet fuel management 5 for the fuel injection. Full pipe, new unrestrictive intake with k&n, rev box, high output coil, and cams. I'll be porting it this winter.

It sure looks like Shane was catching up on the top end or was that just the camers angle? Still looks like a shit load of fun, I wish they did that stuff around here!

Yes he was still catching up at the end. Had he taken off when the kid on the 300ex did it would have been a good race, he'd probably still would have lost though.
Win lose or draw our whole family has fun, couldn't ask for anything more. I was kinda surprised that our daughters even get into going and cheering us on. Sure wish I could get them to race but they won't, I've tried talking them into racing my ltz400.

Yeppers there are more bikes than quads there. 250cc dirtbike class is the largest class there. Bringing your bike with? That was the last race of the year, next race won't be until next June. We have more races to attend this year but they don't have dirtbike classes.

Like to store the bike at your place this spring if you're cool with it?

Well we raced today in Newaygo. Shane took 1st in the 90 class and 3rd in the stock atv class. He almost took 2nd, ran neck and neck with a blaster.
I sucked donkey ass as usual lol, I'm about to hang up my racing helmet and concentrate on Shane kicking everyones ass lol.
Shane is also the proud new owner of an 01 Arctic Cat Z120 with a Recmotors Champ engine. Fucker flies. I'll get a picture up tomorrow.

He needs one. We've been putting them on a shelf but we've outgrown it. We have 19 trophies in the past 3 years from drag racing. We're getting that 120 ready to grassdrag too lol, he'll be racing his quad and sled at the next 3 races.

250 class as in the 450's are allowed to race against my yz? or has to be 250 cc displacement?

You would be in the 250cc 2stroke bike class. But we could run them.
