Anyone interested in joining? It should be a good trip and fairly inexpensive for some amazing riding.

Just throwing it out there. We're talking about a few different places and there are better deals for more guests. It is only another 6 hours LOL.

The key word was ANOTHER 6 hrs lol. I remember looking it up last year 23 hrs on the road, and that's with perfect weather. Throw a snowstorm in there and your stuck in a car for 30 hrs!

Yeah, roads around Dubois can be treacherous ....... again it depends on where I'm at.

*cough* Cooke City *cough*

Anywhere closer and I'm sure I'll be in. Don't want to miss more than 2 days of work per week. Then the group ride will only be 2 weeks after this.

Cooke is even further.

You should fly and rent if you can't man up for the drive. I think they rent nice Touring sleds for you to see Yellowstone.

I'd like to do Tog, but the timeframe doesn't exactly fit my busy winter schedule too well. I could easily be talked into it if I'm not broke though. If Gerbil, Flatlander, Hog, or others along my route would be interested I certainly wouldn't say no to that trip.

If we get a large enough group we might be able to get a nice cabin not too far from Togowotee Lodge for a great price. It might work out to anywhere from $40 a night for a 2 bath luxury cabin with 8 beds, wifi, hot tub, etc. to $18 a night for an 11 bed large A-frame. The size of the group will dictate which place we book. We need to know ASAP if you're in because we're booking soon. If we can't get a large group we're doing the Tog Mt. Lodge for convenience and whoever else is welcome to join us and book their own place.

We currently have 4 definites and 2 possibilities. We should know if the 2 possibilities are in by the end of this week.

I have a 2 place, can hold 3 including truck bed. I could even get my hands on a 4 place if needed.

I'd like to but that's a long ass drive. I was kinda on the fence to see if they got enough people or not. Hoping not enough people wanted to go and it got moved to a closer location lol. I could be talked into going easily enough though.

If you can get a 4 place, let's try and find 2 additional people to go on this trip.

I'm down with that. The dates listed are Jan 10th through 15th, is that lodging dates?

I believe so, but Keith will have to confirm that.

Leave Saturday morning on January 10th. Arrive on Sunday January 11th... morning or night, depending if we stop to spend the night on the way out. Ride (possibly Sunday for a little if it is early enough) Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and leave Friday morning to get back Saturday.

I found a 10-11 bed A-frame for rent that is in a good location for snow for $195 a night. We'd have to drive somewhere to get gas but it is 12 miles away at most.

As of now there is a good chance that we have 6 people.

As much as I'd liike to go on a trip this year, it's looking like the chance that I'll have enough vacation time left to go on a trip is going to be zero. I have a Vegas wedding in April and it's starting to look like the farm will take all my banked vacation time this fall.

Well that sucks, I was hoping we'd ride together sometime this winter.
