Talking Putting a new super modified engine in my sks

I got a spare sled with no motor 94 xlt sks , and I'd really love to put an engine in it that would hold up to the hardest beatin and haul frickin ass! With lots of room for modz. What would you other sled monkeys slap in it? I'd really like to be able to tear it down and rebuild it myself too! so far this sight kinda feels like home and by the looks of things I can finally say fuck! If I wish sweet and check the frickin sweet!

XCR800 VES would be a sweet motor to drop in there with good power expectations from modification

An 800 sounds perfect maybe there's a chance I can find a used one and rebuild or I'm sure slp has a build kit I'll check it out thanks

It might be cheaper and easier to find an Ultra, Ultra SPX, or XCR 700 engine. At 139-145hp with triple pipes, they are no slug.

Ultra engines are getting cheaper due to everyone wanting xcr800 or watercraft engines. If you have some dough to float look into the watercraft, otherwise snatch up an ultra engine and haul ass!! Fuckety

I say go for the ultra engine. You can always make it into an 800 later on. Plenty of power and very reliable.

I'm Looking for an ultra right now. I am a little hesitant however speed and I don't mix well, my eye and hand coordination are stupendous and am a good rider Sometimes we all hit a bump on a jump that leaves our ski's looking like candycanes right! I hit the same jump several times that day on a 583 ski doo flat out and if it was two feet to the left it would have been smooth sailin but.. I couldn't get the throotle fast enough to drive my ass end down and well.. You know. I got away lucky but a friend of mine two years later got paralized on the same hill.not so lucky
