ok im having issue with my clutching? or something. sled seem to fall on its face at 70-73 mph at 8000 rpms on a wide open long feild, happened on my last trip, did 202 miles that day.
i did not change my gearing yet. cause i left to go on a trip in the last min.
one thing i noticed is my belt seems very loose, like 2 to 2.5 inch of play, so i tried to adjust the 1.3.5 thing on the secondary, number 1 means closes the clutch more. and 5 means open up right? i put it on number 1, test rode the sled, and its not tight enough. does this mean my clutch button is worn? my clutches is completely spotless. everythings good. just quits topend power at 70ish mph. while the same sled i was riding with in the group is way ahead of other friends 700 xcsp. and mine is failing. stays with z570fanner
right now i still have the set up of 10-58, spi white/yellow spring tested 150-280 lbs. secondary silver/blue poo spring, in hole number 3 helix, 52-36 dalton. should i try hole number 2? or what? im stumped.
its a 2002 xcsp 600, engine is rebuilt, only 214 miles on it, carb is spotless, stock jetting is 430 it has 420s now. everything works great. takes off fast, but quits upperend. bellows, ves spotless and no tear. stumped!
belt is brand new 080 poo belt.
