What's going on up north today? Looks like it's been dumping in NW Minnesota since last night. How deep is it getting? It's starting to get cold and windy here. Winter is going to be here by tomorrow. Too bad the cold looks snowless here so far. The annual DCUBA day-after-Thanksgiving camping trip had snow on the ground, but now it's gone.

Things started up about an hour ago here. Hefty snowflakes falling pretty quickly. It only took about 10 minutes for the roads to turn white, and the rest of things are quickly following.

Trail markers went up today. Now it's just a matter of old man winter getting off his lazy ass and doing something.

Yeah, I don't think these guys were in a real big hurry seeing as how it's still brown around here with no decent snow in the forcast. I could still go fishing in a boat. In a BOAT! In DECEMBER! lol. this sucks.

You could fit all the snow from my yard in a shoebox. I am dissapointed.

^^ You need a bigger yard.

We have a few fluffy inches on the ground now. It started up again this afternoon too. There are already sled tracks through one of the parks in Crookston - I only wish they were mine!!!

The roads are still shitty from the first go-round, but relatively driveable again. Tuesday night had me on glare ice with bald tires on a 50 mile commute. As Murphy's law would have it, I ended up sliding under some railroad crossing arms as they were going down.

As of now, it's cold enough to hopefully stick around and get deeper!!!

took the carbs off the XLT to clean them. Is there anything but the oil bottle that is not bolted to the air box?! All 3 gaskets were soft mushy and ripped when bowls were removed. guess it wont be running tonight.

My base gasket won't be in until wednesday. The same day we're s'pose to get 4-5 inches of the white gold. Cutting it close.

I really wish the lakes would have had a chance to freeze over more than the "glazing" they have now. Most of (if not all) the trails around here cross swamps and lakes. It's certainly going to be a year of shit ice. Good thing the ol' 500 water skips like a champ.
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snooooowwww!

Up here the prediction was "a possible significant event" does that mean rain? snow? hail? hell on earth? I mean even I could go and tell people a significant event might happen some time in the next week

Westman - I just hear you are in a blizzard warning. Hopefully that means enough snow (if the wind doesn't blow it all back down to Iowa) to ride on! I'm not sure what the difference between winter storm warning and blizzard is. Wind? More snow? Does anyone know?
