Default Gear and Chain Question

I have a 64 pin chain with a top gear of 19 teeth, and a bottom gear with 35 teeth. I want to gear my Indy 400 down, so I can beat Ultrastud off the line. I have an 18 tooth top gear, but my problem is that the chain has a wicked dogleg in it already with the 19 tooth gear on top. What is the cheapest and best way to solve this dilemma ? Should I use the 18 tooth gear and get a chain with fewer pins? (If so, how many pins should I get?) Or, should I keep my chain and 19 tooth gear, and go up a bunch of teeth on the bottom gear? (If so, how many teeth should I add?)

Thanks in advance for your constructive answers,
Rubi

^^^No can do. That thing isn't coming apart again until I'm ready to put the new gears in.

Here ya go, you should be able to find the right chain/sprockets in the gearing chart file

Ha ha, the dumbass I bought the sled from had a gear ratio in there that is unsafe and not recommended. From the chart, it looks like I'll get a 37 tooth bottom gear. That way I can safely use my 18 and 19 tooth top gears, and I can keep my 64 pin chain. I wonder how much of a difference a 2.06 gear ratio makes compared to a 1.84?
