Default Vermont/New Hampshire riding

has anyone rode in new hampshire or vermont back country before? I live in lower michigan (southwest corner) I dont think it would be that long of a drive out there if it is worth a 4 - 5 day trip... anyone been there? Not lookin for trails

From what I've heard there's a lot of people out there that don't like seeing others going off trail. You might want to think about heading west instead. Or even to just the yoop if you've never been.
