Default Storm 1-5-08

Not sure how many are familiar with Togwotee Mountain Lodge, but here's a webcam shot from this morning. Bear in mind, we're right in the middle of getting hit with our biggest snowstorm of this season today. Mountain conditions are reported to be High Risk for avalanches today, yet hardcore riders are still at it. This storm is going to make riding in my local area great once snowpack settles down from added snow and wind.

We were under highwind advisors and winter storm warnings, but went ahead and rode for awhile in Long draw up Poudre Canyon. Was actually pretty nice up there, 36 degrees and snowing. Will make a thread to post pics of the ride - it got cut short.
We are really hoping to get a good amount of snow out of this storm too!

Looks like snow in the forecast for a while in the mountains in the areas we ride in. Hope it holds true we need more so I can stop hitting shit under the snow.

DITTO for us up here. I'm working thru this weekend but 2 buddies called from top of Mtn. to let me know just how nice it was riding yesterday. (Pricks) Said it looked like we got near 12"-16" of new POW up on top above 9000 ft. More forecast for next 3 days off and on. So it should be great riding by next weekend.

Default Bluebird Morning

In between storm impulses this morning, beautiful morning with sunshine and temps in single digits. Sucks to have to work for a living.
