Default New Trailer

I've been looking for a new enclosed trailer for the last year or so, but had to be pretty careful of what I bought since I only have a 1/2 ton with me at my place and that's likely all I'll have around town. I picked up an all aluminum 01 Expedition 8.5x16 box and 4 ft. "V". It's a clean trailer, it was only used a couple times for sleds and motorcyles and some to deliver furniture.

Quinlan and I went to pick it up Sun. afternoon. I was rather surprised at how light it pulled. I think I averaged somewhere around 10 mpg pulling it into a pretty strong headwind yesterday.

I have a couple things to do to it. It could use a good cleaning and I need to pull the vinyl lettering off of it. I have to figure out what I want to do with the floor, I'm thinking about sealing it then carpeting it. One of the trailers that we use to go out west has been carpeted and it's nice to sleep in if you need to and it's not slippery.

Sweet, nice trailer. I dunno about carpet on the floor though lol, seems like you'd have to be anal to keep it clean/mold free? I have heard of alot of people that camp in their trailers though, I'm looking into a heater for mine.

I think the key behind carpet is to get the indoor/outdoor rubber backed carpet. My buddies have had it in their trailer for 5 or so years and it still looks good and we've never slipped in the trailer. We run the plastic ski bottoms when we load the sleds so it doesn't tear the carpet.

As far as carpet goes, you could but the stuff made for boats Marine grade carpet,A little spendy but worth it to keep the mold issue at bay.

That is a good idea with the outdoor carpet with the ski guides.
