got the heads done finally, basically cut one, then compression tested it, cut a little more, compression test, cut some more..... so on and so on util i had a usable compression. then simply used them specs to make the other two.

did some warm up stand tunning and some retuning of the exhaust, started out trying to make it to quiet but had to let her bark,

hopefully after this weekend i might have some vidoe of it running?

i did have one test ride on snow, on the hard pack trail on the lake it was stupid. at 50 mph simply blip the throttle and the sled didnt launch, the rear simply dropped and you had a big spin hump.

on the hard pack i hammered it one time and it dug a 6" trench and in about 20' the speedo was at 40 mph. it kept the trenching up till i let off the gas.

the 9811 camoplast with 192 chisels with .6" penetration will help with traction. 10 tooth drivers will help with speed and belt slippage.

i was going to put the ripsaw on for trail riding, but i am putting the speed track on the sled and hooking it to the ice. the world record for lake racer pure motor is at 135 mph right now,

oh, i am guessing the sled should be at 175+ hp?!!! i will not be taking it to a dyno this year so i am going to simply be guessing at a target rpm to tune around.

my goal for this first season would be to get to 120 mph in the 1000' at nssr legal weight. i need to be at 700 lbs with the sled and driver, and with my nephew driving we are right close.
red hot on fanatics runs the same hp and weight in the same class and he pretty much starts his day at 125 mph. but he has a couple years on that sled getting base lines. this will be my first year with the sled.
