Default what RMKer and indygirl missed

heres my first attempt at helmet cam footage, turn your volume down too. i used a whole tank of gas !!!! first ride of the season too, not a bad way to start, we found a bunch of fresh pow and scouted a new area to ride in for the big snows to come.

so here it is, the camera is out of position a little i was having fogging issues so i had to look down a lot to see. hope this link works, some say it doesnt work for them some say it does?

Killer snow, man.

Watching that just reminds me how much my sled just digs trenches.

Nice footage Bullit, mind my asking what type of cam you use. Might be interested in getting a setup myself. Looks like I'd get better footage than with handheld.

indy, i dont know why you cant see it, seems like everyone else gets it? i would send it right to you but its almost 60 megs !
i have a sony DCR-HC30 mini DV camera hooked to that a SportZshot helmet cam, its the 480 RES one with a LANC remote, works great, im getting a wide angle lens for it next so i can see more ! this camera accepts quite a few different lens sizes too. easy to use but costs quite a bit for the whole rig.

Thanks for the info Bullit, looks a little involved but I like the general idea.

You most likely just need to wait for it to load. There's a bar on the bottom with a triangle. As your computer downloads the video a dark gray bar will progress to the right of that triangle. SO, to watch it, click the link and as soon as the page loads hit the pause button (II). Wait for that dark gray bar to go all the way to the right. It may take a while as it's a 60 megabyte file.

It would be a better vid, if the view was more in front of you rather than mostly just the front of the sled.
Pretty good though.

I was finally able to view it by using internet explorer internet. Not sure why Opera internet would not let me view it as a video.

No problem with Fire Fox viewing it.

I found myself looking ahead trying to see where we were going lol. You should adjust the camera to point alittle more up. Otherwise, sweet riding!!
