I was in west yesterday when they were out riding the prototypes, we were about 2 feet away from this sled when it was hidden in the trees, oddly enough the sled was sitting in the trees because they were going to get parts for it.
The 2012 Poos look like bad ass sleds, Doo doesn't look like it's made any changes, and the Cat did look bad ass until we were told that they had to go back to the trailer for parts...
I think I like the rush better than this. But the talk of a sealed crankcase, air injected DI engine sounds intriguing.
look at all the crap these companys screw up, and now they are going to get more advanced? pfft recall city.
remember how the mags all said the diamond drive is so great, how the sled "feels" so much more crisp with no chain stretch. now look at how many artic guys are doing the chain case conversion or simply going with an old f chassis for racing.

New sleds all released today. Talk about disappointment! I was hoping for some good innovation, but it's all the same stuff. Everything "new" has been copied from Polaris or SkiDoo. The only thing different is the oversized chain case, why is cat so intent on making a complicated drive system?
Thanks for the link OCR. Is it just my computer or is cats website just as slow as their snowmobiles?
Interesting, the opposite of Poo. Poo will tell you what the machine weighs but no HP numbers, Cat will tell you the power but not the weight? Am I missing it somewhere or is it really not posted? Everyone wants to know how much the new iron weighs damnit.
I'm trying to check different models to see if there is a posted weight but it takes 10 fuckin minutes to load each snowmobile!
