Bird? That's a baby duck. Baby ducks don't eat Pizza Ranch last time I checked.

Do you go across Iowa when you go out west? Pizza Ranch was born in Iowa, and there's shitloads of them down there. Make sure you hit the buffet. The broasted chicken is the shizzle!

If it wasn't for Rubi's almost daily visits to the local Pizza Ranch I am pretty sure it would go under.

Yeah, and you'd freeze to death in your garage if I didn't bring over all my Pizza Ranch boxes to burn in the woodstove.

Yeah we see signs going through Iowa but never stopped. I think I'm going to have to next time I roll through.

I only got less than 14mpg once or twice in the dakota.

3000lb V6 truck with a 5 speed man Vs a 5500lb V8 silverado with a 4 speed auto. And there's a reason I refer to it as the flying brick....it's aerodynamics aren't real good.

I bit the bullet today and ordered a new pickup. I've had the dealer trying to located a white platinum Platinum for about 3 weeks and everyone he has tried to dealer transfer in a 5 state area he has been shot down on. In 6 weeks I should finally have my new ride.

I will get to give a report on how chitty the Eco mileage is in a few short weeks.

Wow everyone is jumping on the F150 band wagon lol. I bought an F150 with the 5.0 V8 rather than the ecoboost. I did drive both and decided there is no replacement for displacement. The ecoboost appears to pull better mpg when empty but I've read it's a pretty close race in mpg when loaded, the ecoboost does it easier from what I read. We took my F150 to Wyoming last week and with my enclosed trailer in tow we managed to average 9.6 mpg, and I went 85 alot on the return trip. That was resetting the Dummy mpg calculator when I left home, 2600 miles total. I was very pleased with its pulling power, did better in both mpg and grunt than my 2011 GMC with a 5.3. I haven't taken any pictures of it but it's a 2013 F150 FX4 Super Crew Cab, with the tiny box.

in the old days, 70s & 80s, you ordered a 300 L6 for power and mileage and a 302 for speed

Well, they have actually had them for a while.....someone needs to do their research.

Buy a crew cab and sacrifice bed length.

I did do my research. For crews, GM only offers 6.5' boxes on the 2500+ GMT900s

Another side note on Dak vs Silvy. Dak had 15" rims and at the time I watched MPG's 30x9r15 tires. The silvy has 31x11r20's.

You didnt specify crew cab. The body style before yours you could, but it had to be a 1500 HD.

I actually could have gotten the 6.5', but in order to still have the supercab it would have extended the wheelbase.

I could have gotten a Super Duty crew cab dually with an eight foot box and it would maneuver better than my '99 extended cab. The turning radius on that era Ford was stupid. My Dad borrows my pickup in the summer, and he was whining that he couldn't get it turned around in his two hundred acres! What were they thinking? My '95 4x4 longbox turned as sharp as a Smartcar and then the '99 was a debacle.

That's why I specified GMT900. And the 1500HD is a 2500 essentially.
