Default Installing a temp guage

ok so i want to install a temp gauge on my polaris storm. i was wondering if i could take out the old sender and use that hole for the new sender, i will be using a mechanical guage. if i do this what should the optimal running temp be,
and at what temp should i start to worry. Thank you.

ride the sled like you normally do and watch the temps, them are the temps it should run at.

I have seen this a million times, a guy has been riding a sled for a couple years, then he adds egt and water gauge. now all of a sudden he is worried the hole time riding because he thinks the temps are not right. but for the last couple years the sled has been just fine.

yea tune sled off the plugs...then use the gauges as a safety measure

i have digital egt gauges, also has temp but i dont watch it...if temp light comes on then ill worry. Also the digital gauges you can set them to light up at night, which can be rather handy.

add temp only will be cake walk
