Default Finally found some deep pow!

Well Indy and I made it back up to the high country and found some good snow. Looks like the mountains where we ride got a good 24" to 30" of powder. We rode up high to check it out and well we couldn't even make it. I was breaking trail for us and three other guys we joined up with on the way up there. And I was going good till I had to let off the throtle because of a tree and got stuck in snow up to my chin. And I wasn't to the ground yet.

There was so much more snow up there compared to last weekend. Had a good time in the big meadows. I did get stuck a few times. After a full day of working hard riding in the deep powder and getting unstuck - I am exausted.
Will down load my pics and post a few pics.

Okay, got my pics downloaded so will add a few. I included a few pictures of us being stuck and the guys we rode with. As we were following RMKer who was breaking trial in deep powder up the mountain, we lost one rider about
1/2 miles down the slope from us who barried himself in chest high snow. Then the 3 of us in the middle - well I was getting a little tired trying to stay in RMKers tracks going up the mountain and trying to stay away from the trees that I finally stopped. RMKer continued to break trail and was out or sight - to many trees and pretty steep that I could not see him any more.
Once I stopped and the 2 guys below me, that is when we realized we lost one rider below us somewhere. We got one of the guys sled turned around and he went back down to find him. 2 of us stayed and waited for RMKer.
Long story short, we were up there 1 1/2 to 2 hours getting everyone's sleds turned around and facing downhill, and getting the other guy dug out. We waited about an hour for RMKer to get back down the mountain. He was on his own to dig himself out and he ended up barried in 5 ft of snow. We even had 2 snow shoers stop and help us.

NO JOKE!! RMKer was having a blast going up that mountain cutting trail through the trees, but for myself, it was a lot of work trying to stay in his tracks in that deep powder and following him up. We kept going up and up and up to a point I finally had to stop. Good thing since he barried himself up there in snow to his chin .

Ya'll making me anxious for the weekend. Friends tell me it's deeper than it's been in a few years up where we ride.

Stuck is a good sign....LOL

Too bad you guys don't have any snow. You should get together with The_Hog in his no-snow-rehab program. He's only a little bitter. Feel free to ask him about it.
