MOOKIE! Set down the quilting and grab your phone!
Gerbil is trying to shame me into buying a sled. Shit, I already have a sled. It even runs. Mookie on the other hand..... I've probably bought five sleds since Mookie had one. So lets just stop this madness once and for all. Here's a Boonditcher Pro Model for practically free!
There's another one almost the same for $1,500. Should we unload the trailer and go down to the Big City and fill it back up? If I had a cheap Boonditcher, I could take all the stuff I like off of mine and put it on the newer one. Then I could sell the one with all the worst parts to Mookie really cheap. It should work out well for everybody. Unless Mookie needs something fancier instead of cheaper?
DCUBA is springing into action. We've been resting up since the MiniMud Group Ride, so we have plenty energy. The internet and phone network is just buzzing in West Central Minnesota. We've got to get Mookie interested in this scheme because his involvement is somewhat necessary. We're going to title this Operation Fast Furious. Not to celebrate Obama and Holder's mess where they sacrificed Mexican and American law enforcement officer's lives in the attempt to drum up a media story condemning guns, but rather to celebrate the hayday of DCUBA's sled acquisition history back in '06. Gerbil, Mookie, and Rubi all bought their first sleds in a two day orgy of sled shopping right around December 10th, and DCUBA was born.
i had mine out, apart, rebuilt, and back in the sled in under 3 hours (all times combined and excluded the periods for waiting on parts and machine work, thats just total working on the project) and that was my first time with the edge, you should be a pro and be a 2 hour job easy!!
I don't understand why I'm such a pro? I think I've only had the engine out once. Wait, I did have it out once to fix the motor mounts, and once last year when I was troubleshooting everything. I did tear down and rebuild that other motor I bought, so I do have some experience, but maybe not as much as it seems. Last season's debacle just took so long it seemed like I tore my sled apart constantly.
I help out on a lot of Gerbil burndowns. He burnt down his Ski Doo 2 or 3 times before he gave up, and I rebuilt that Indy 400 that Mookie burnt down. Gerbil did his 800 this year, and Baller is finally getting ready to finish his 800 too. We do quite a bit, but I just haven't really done the motor on my 600 as much as it appears, since one of the rebuilds I did was just on a spare motor.
