New to this site. I looked around for quite a while, but didn't see any thing like the problem I am having with one of our sleds. '10 RMK 800, we keep getting a flashing check engine light at around 6000 RPM, then it goes into limp mode and it will not exceed 15MPH. A local shop had it twice and replaced the voltage regulator and then claimed it was water in the gas. He put Sea Foam in and called it good.
Any ideas?? I'm thinking possibly the detonation sensor may be bad.
I don't think sleds have O2 sensors. I think the sensor in the pipe is a temperature sensor. The Detonation sensor could be going off if you have water in the gas. Seafoam won't solve a bad water problem either.
Possibly a re-flash? Possibly a sensor? Most likely electronic.
Normally the Polaris CFI systems work pretty spot on.
Sounds like a dealership should be able to read the code to see exactly where the problem is.
