I wish I could go Rich. After this last trip I am considering selling my sled and buying a Rzr 900 xp crew. I'm sick of dealing with bitching people and tirips.

Thats funny shit lol, happened to us last year. I've learned that there are only a handfull of people that I will go west with. Partly riding styles and experience, partly getting along GREAT with the person. 2 people that ride snowmobiles don't just get along because they ride, there has to be more. Sorry you had a bad experience, thats no reason to give up the sport though.

We spent a good month getting everyone organized for this last trip. Show up, no one has sufficient avy gear or survival gear, we're a day late because one guy couldn't get his shit together in time, no one has sufficient avy gear. I argued with them to even just wear their beacons. We went with 8 of us, which is way too damn many people to ride with in the mountains.

I won't stop riding, I enjoy riding, but I might just start renting out west, and have the Rzr for full-time around home

Buy a RZR then you can come to St Anthony with us and tote fuel around with the RZR while we ride.

I'm guilty of this when I'm traveling alone, but never if there's other people involved.... at least when it's people that actually have schedules.

I've seen rental deals out here where you buy a 10 day punch card for $1100 bucks. Probably is the cheapest way to ride a brand new sled every year if you ride 10 days. If the deal was available where I ride, I'd probably jump on it. Costs $500 more than a season ski pass, but probably quite a bit cheaper than owning a recent model sled.

Man I want to go. I probably should have skipped this last trip and just waited until the climbs. I had crossed my mind. I can't take anymore time off work this month and really can't afford it either.

Well with less than a week to go I had to shit or get off the pot. I just can't see driving in a vehicle by myself for 26 hrs each way, not to mention the fuel bill with noone to split it. I considered flying and renting and also decided not to go that route. This trip is right after my birthday so Missy offered to take me to Vegas for my birthday instead, while I'm not a fan of Las Vegas I did accept the offer. I'll be spending the end of next week in Vegas, since Mitch and his wife are also going hopefully we can hook up and party down.
Thanks for the offer Rubi, and for going out of your way to try helping me make it. I will again try to make the hillclimbs next year. Hopefully a couple of these douchebags on the eastern side of the country will decide they want to ride their mountain sleds in the mountains for a change and come with me next year? If I'm in a position I can take more time off next year I would make the drive myself, but I'd need a couple extra days so I dont wipe myself out trying to drive it in one shot.
Soooo........
What happened in Vegas will remain there!!

You're missing out Mud, we just got hammered with 30" in two days at the hill. Rubi and Baller were out on Monday during the storm and it was insanely deep and they are out in a different spot today reaping the rewards.

I notice that you state that Rubi and Baller went, but not yourself.

Did you break your shit again? Or is that Murphy bastard just kicking your ass inside-out as usual?

Yeah I realize I'm missing out and I'm not pleased about it. I'm totally regretting showing any interest at all when Missy suggested Vegas as an alternative. Had she not gotten excited at the opportunity to go, I wouldn't have given in.
