I've already got future plans for the truck when the credit card clears up;
-Tonneau cover - DONE
-Protective Carpet and seat cover for second row - DONE
-2009 OnStar module for bluetooth hands free calling and phone integration (I don't plan on paying to subscribe to onstar)
-THinking about tow mirrors off of a 2500HD when I get a trailer
-Programmer, not sure which yet but thinking DiabloSport or Blackbear
-Hard wire GPS and phone dock
-Magnaflow or Corsa muffler

Blacked out the bowties last week and removed the dealer logo, truck looks a lot better. Picking up the 2" lift tomorrow, probably going to install early next week. HD mirrors are next on the list.

Had an O2 sensor go out this week, truck has 24k on it, I'm starting to like having a warranty.

The lift is going to hurt your gas mileage. I would leave it stock. I put bigger tires on mine and they just fit without rubbing.

Fuck you on the warranty you pansey. Pay for the sensor yourself.

I am not paying $200 to fix an issue on a truck I just bought less than 3 weeks ago...

2" level should only detract about 1 MPG, and the truck needs it. And FYI, pop the front gold bowtie off of your truck to reveal a better looking black bowtie.

I heard it is more like 2mpg. I dunno, it levels out with a load in the back.

Hmmmmm, how does it pop off? What does the black bowtie look like? Post a pic.

I'm also putting blocks in the rear to lift the whole truck and so it qon't squat too far down when loaded. I'd like to get airbags eventually so I can have it sit level all the time.

The gold plastic piece is held onto the black piece by 2 sided adhesive. Recomended method is to use a sawing motion with dental floss.

Don't have any pics of mine put check this link

Lift will be going on this weekend.
E85 may be $0.70/gal cheaper but MPGs are dropping fast.

E85 isnt worth it quite yet. I noticed a drop in power in my Tahoe also.

My truck makes 315 on E85, compared to 295 on 87. You can actually feel the increase in power at upper RPM.

Your truck makes 315 on both, the E85 doesnt increase power at all. I had the same truck remember? What gearing do you have?

I wasn't expecting it, but it seems to be a little more responsive on E-85.

I've got 3.73's with a G80.

Anyone ever used Rustoleum Lens Tint?

Mileage has gotten worse running E85. The first several hundred miles I averaged better MPG in the new truck than my old Dakota. I didn't trade up to a fullsize truck for the fuel economy lol

No but considering what you had you sure as hell wouldn't expect to go backwards? Time for a road trip to come pick up this chassis shithead, 4th of July party is on the 8th.

Averaged 13.6 MPG on E85, that's what killed my mileage. Switched back to E10 so my mileage should go back up to around 17-18.

Also got my lift installed today. When I get airbags I take one of the blocks out of the rear so it sits level.

Stock.

2" Zone Lift

Whats the point of lift if you are still running the stock tires?

I'm with you Harry, I think it looks worse with the huge gap between the tires and wheel wells.

But to each his own. Its his truck and if he likes it, that's all that matters.

Is the dog tied to the front bumper? I wouldn't want to see another national lampoons vacation incident.

Bloomingdale Michigan, about 2 hours east of Chitown. Saturday July 8th from oh lets say 4-passout? I will be home and probably drinking all day that day so there really aren't any times, whenever you want to show up. Plenty of room to pitch a tent or you can crash on a couch. Kids are more than welcome, there will be a buttload of them running around lol. Dinner will be about 5, fireworks at dusk, pool will be open all day.

I'm sure I'll start a thread as the time gets closer. Nutz are always welcome whether there is a party or not.

I know most people like the 'stuffed' look but I actually don't like my tires being so close to the fenders. But it does give me the option of running 32 or 33's without any more lift.

And on regular gas I still average over 17mpg with only the 2" lift according to the DIC (optimistic I know, but still not bad)

One of the things I haven't figured out about this truck is do I go black or chrome with the accessories?

As long as I can remember I have not liked chrome accessories, always preferred black or black on flat black. But with 'murdered out' being the new trend I am thinking I want to go chrome. So for now the front upper bumper cover and grill are staying chrome. I am planning on getting new 6" oval side steps but am torn between black or chrome.
