Default 1992 rxl conversion to carbs

Hey everyone, got a rxl 650 that I am considering switching from EFI to carbs. I'm sure someone has done this before and maybe has some insight as to what parts are needed. Obviously I need carbs, but can the intake boots and air intake box be reused? I know the throttle cable is different and can modify the ignition portion to work. I'm just tired of fixing the EFI, it's getting old and expensive to find parts for. Thanks!

You need to drill a hole for the pulse line for the fuel pump and the barb that the hose will attach to
You can use the same air box and boots, but you will need new mounting flanges as the carbs are a different size and fit in further than the throttle bodies.

GotMud started doing it. I am sure he can offer some insight.

Nope, OCR nailed it. Carb boots have to be changed as the throttle bodies are huge as compared to the carbs. There was actually a threaded plug in my cases and I was able to thread a barb in its place. Got lucky and didn't have to drill but don't know if he will. Obviously he needs to get a fuel pump. If he can figure the electrics then he's set.

Usually also requires changing out the stator too as the EFI one has extra wiring that can cause a stator burn out if left unconnected.
