Default Anyone still use KLIM gear?

I am assuming our resident MASM members wont be anymore after reading this....

Polaris acquires Teton Outfitters
Polaris acquired Teton Outfitters, LLC, an Idaho-based company that designs and distributes KLIM Technical Riding Gear. Teton expects $30 million in revenue in FY2012. “The KLIM acquisition provides yet another growth opportunity for our PG&A (parts, garment, and accessories) business, a key contributor to Polaris’ top-line growth and profitability,” vice president of PG&A Steve Eastman said. Polaris will keep KLIM’s brand positioning and name, and KLIM will maintain its current operations and staff. [Polaris, 6 December 2012]

Well I don't know how I feel about that to be totally honest. I love my Klim gear and have since I bought my first piece. That being said, Klim gear is pricey enough without throwing the Polaris name in with the Klim name. I see Klim gear prices going up, and will probably lose customers because of it.

Why would it go up? The manufacturers clothing lines are all cheaper than Klim or Motorfist right now. I imagine they'll still have plain Klim stuff for the Doo and Cat guys, and then some slightly different stuff with Polaris labeling. That's what I'd do anyway.

Have only used their lightweight gloves, balaclava and boots. Nice stuff but I'm not going to give KlimPoo any more money.

Instead of buying Klim, Poo should have spent the money on driveshafts, engines, belt drives and bumpers that work.

LMAO So you won't buy Klim because Polaris owns them?

This coming from a Cat guy? I'm sorry, what do you know other than what you've read on the interweb about Polaris snowmobiles? Driveshafts? Don't cut yourself and bleed green all over this thread. I just love how everyone picks faults of the new Polaris model because it dominates? For every 100 happy consumers there is 1 snowmobile that had problems. The biggest problem with that is the 1 in 100 snowmobile that did have problems got smeared all over the internet and the sheep think they all have problems.

I haven't gotten to take a stab at you in awhile Stealth, it felt good lol. LET IT SNOW!!

Coolers, DIAMOND drive, Belly pans, and bumpers, what? And that's only what I've seen first hand.

Welcome back. Let it snow.

I was shopping for new riding gear earlier this fall and was initially planning on going with Klim but ended up finding Motorfist gear for a way better deal.

I think it's more of a problem than that. Nobody is even really riding yet. Washington and Northern Idaho are the only regions riding. Colorado and Southern Wyoming have shit for snow, and I don't think Utah is doing well. Northwestern Montana might be alright, but IP and WY aren't going yet, and that's where all the Wisconsin and Minnesota riders go. When people start beating their sleds, this is going to be a huge issue. The guys that are getting more than 20 miles on their driveshafts are stripping the cogs off their belt drives. I had money squirreled away to upgrade to a new 800, but I've been scared off. I wouldn't be surprised if they drop the beltdrive next year

But this is all good in my book. It clears all the riff raff out of the Polaris market. I want to see my brand back to blacksheep status so EVERYBODY doesn't have the same sled as me. It was a joke in West Yellowstone last year. Here was what we saw for sleds: 75 Pro 800's... then 2 Arctic Cats....100 Pro 800's... then 1 Ski Doo... 35 Pro 800's... and a Pro 600... 100 more Pro 800's... then 3 Arctic Cats. Amazing what putting Chris Burandt on a sled will do. Have Burandt say Cat and Doo can't "flick" like a Pro, and both brands lose 50K units in sales. I don't even know what the hell "flick" is!

That much I totally agree with. put Burandt back on a Cat and pay him to talk about how much more better it is. Please!!

Nope, put him on Doo with his old buddy Rassmussen. Then everybody will ride Doo. We will be the only Polaris guys left, but we can still duke it out with the last Cat guys on earth on this site.

If everybody on earth rode DOO we would have every square inch of rideable terrain to ourselves since a vast majority of their cranks would be blown.
