Default Foothills Riding

My son and I managed to get in a short ride Sun. PM. We took a newcomer friend with us and met some other friends on the way to trailhead in the mountains. They talked us into going to a new area in the foothills rather than drive for 30 minutes to trailhead. Snow wasn't as deep as we like, but it was ridable. Had a ball in the open praries and hills. Snow is about 2' to 3' deep over the sagebrush.

That's the kinda of Wyoming I remember... I drove through the southeast tip on my way to CO one time (Just to add a state to my list of visited ones). I know exactly what that landscape looks like without snow!

Nice pics, good to see you out riding... but what's with the camera? The purple/blue hue to it is kinda strange...

Yeah if you don't get off I-80/90, WY all looks the same.

As for the tinting, not really sure, I hadn't noticed until you mentioned it. It's a new camera, so maybe something in settings. Also we had bad "flatlight" all afternoon.

Yeah Indy, any ride is better than what I've been getting.

Not everyone uses their sled as a battering ram for animals to take home and cook!

Not this trip, though I have found killing one with a sled can be a bit of a challenge. Tough lil buggers.....LOL

Think I figured out the tinting, camera has setting for snow scenes, that's what I was shooting on. Mama and I are going up to foothills tomorrow for her 1st ride of the season, I'll take pics and see if I can get them without tinting.

Should be fun sinces she's not ridden her sled yet. Unfortunately I'll be relegated to B/U sled - Summit 670, mine still not ready yet.

Well between me being sick, mama being sick, and storms blowing thru - it took longer than expected to get back to foothills to ride. Unfortunately, mama and I both were enjoying riding so much in well over 2 feet of fresh, untracked POW, neither of us stopped to shoot pics. We're going back next couple days, will post pics then. Had a blast, the SNOW GODS are smiling on us this year.
