Default ibreakstuff lived up to his name saturday!

I've been waiting for ibs to make a post but since he hasn't, I'll inform ultrastud what bryan did to the xlt lol. Well we finally took off for our ride about 2pm, loaded back up about 8.30pm. In those 6.5 hours we managed to get 58 miles on, not sure how that happened lol.
We took off with the xcr700 for maybe 3 miles before the heat gauge peaked and we headed back to get the xlt. Got the XLT and took off again. Made it maybe 4 miles before Bryan had another hood open. This time we thought he lost the crank until bryan noticed that the sparkplug had almost unthreaded from head. Tightened all plugs and off we went, for about 1/4 mile lol. The xlt would run and then just stop, give it a minute and it would fire back up. We figured maybe the gas was bad so headed for gas station. Filled up and left the gas station just to have it happen again, this time bryan noticed the oil level never moved from when we left my house. I didn't know you could ride a 2stroke 7-8 miles without oil lol. I ran back to my house and grabbed some oil, premixed the tank. It made it back to my house and actually sounded pretty damn good by time we got back. Compression check confirmed 80psi on clutch side and 120psi on other 2 cylinders, sorry to break it to you ultrastud but ibreakstuff broke the xlt lol.
From there we were still determined lol. We pulled the xcr700 onto the trailer and checked to make sure there were no bubbles in the tank, it was full. We let it run for awhile checking the head temp and cooler temp by hand to make sure it wasn't getting as hot as it said. We came to the conclusion that the guage is fucked up. Off we went again without any issues for quite a while. We probably got 30+ miles until bryan said the xcr didn't sound right and we headed back.
Was great meeting a fellow sledhead and enjoyed the riding even though there wasn't much of it lol. I only took a few pictures, this is where byans helmet spent most of its time lol.....

If that isn't a picture of a sad dude on a busted sled I don't know what is.
I've been busy schmoozing the GF into letting me get a new sled, and looking for a new sled. I have a line on dumping the XLT and getting a new sled already.

I was great to meet Gotmud finally. If I didn't come this time I'd have never heard the end of it.

I'm in the garage right now about to pull the XLT engine, and take a look at the XCR. XCR did fine last night, but at the very end something just didn't feel right with it.

Thanks again Gotmud.

^^ That picture was after premixing the tank and riding it to see if it would stay running. It really sounded like shit. The plug was metalic and backfiring that cylinder very badly. The weirdest part was by time we rode the 2 miles back to my house it actually ran great and sounded better when pulled onto the trailer.

I just fired it up and drove it into the garage. 3 pulls, not a pop or backfire. Double-checked compression with my tester, 65 in the PTO. Other 2 are A-OK.

Most people would cry at the grey slop I just wiped from the exhaust port. I laugh, and think "I WILL TRIUMPH OVER YOU".

Then sell you.

I dunno yet. I'm about to pop the jug off. I'm replacing the oil pump with an extra that I have, and replacing all the oil lines.

I will inspect after dissasembly to figure this out.

I'll make a thread of my mass destruction later tonight.

It doesn't appear that bad. Usual seizure marks from lack of oil in the PTO.

Had nothing to do with the type of oil I was running. In fact, the other 2 cyls that were getting oil look perfect with zero blowby. Do you think you could run your sled with your oil with the pump not pumping for 7-8 miles?

SUPER-TECH POWER!!!

haha, the pissed off-upsidedown-helmet-in-snow. Classic! I've seen that one before.

Don't you fucking hate those days when nothing, just absolutely nothing goes right?
That sucks, but hey, 58 miles in 7 hours isn't all that bad.

He should just change his name to
"Poor Brian"

In a lighter note,
Geeze, that's too bad that you only got to ride around 60 miles that day.
It's better that what I am getting, which is none.
