Finally had a decent ride yesterday.
Met up with the bunch at the Dryden VFW after having to do a quickie repair at 8am (the meeting time was 9am) and was only a couple of min's late.
The repair was replacing the pull rope, I went to start it and ended up with only a foot of rope in my hand. Fortunately I had a complete recoil spool already made up, so it only took me 20 min to swap out and go.
The first picture stop was at the old RR bridge that the club put railings onto.
First pee break, some of theses guys must have bladders the size of walnuts.:D
When was the last time that you saw a covered snowmobile bridge?
A rest and smoke break stop, only one smoker with us.
We had lunch at a place called "Denney's Mountain View Inn". The Tully Trailblazers snowmobile club was having a pig roast and benefit ride there.
This was taken for us at the second gas stop.
RPSS440 was driving his MXZ 800 gas sucker. He had to fill up and I added $5 to mine and some oil. He ended filling up 3 timed that day to everyone else's 1 and a half, even the ZRT of ACM only too a tank and half for the day.
Then we saw a flock of turkeys and had to see how close we could get before they would fly off. Damn birds are not afraid of the sleds until you get almost running over them.
The in another field we did a little off trail playing.
This was Matt on his ZRT catching some air off the top of the rise, I think my camera is a little slow 'cus I seem to have missed the skis up from the time that I snapped it to the time that the image was captured.
It was a great day and we managed to add more than 100 miles to the seasons total, so I am up to 350 now, not too bad considering the fact that we have had almost no snow and I have not traveled to any at all.
