Lightbulb 121" to 136" maybe......

What would be involved in changing my sled from 121" to 136" besides a new track? Can my current suspension be rebuilt with longer slide rails or is it not that simple?

It is that simple. Or you can get rail extensions. However I would not suggest the extensions. I have 121-144 TracksUsa tip-up extensions. When I dropped my skid last week I saw that they were tweaked and I had to add some bracing. These extensions also change the geometry of the skid and adds more leverage. I'm going to try and find a set of 144 rails for it.

cool, now I have something else to dream about. Too bad I've never even ridden a sled longer than 121"

EDIT: actually my very 1st sled was a indy 650 SKS...dunno how long that track was.

Once you go longer you'll never go back, thats what everyone says once they go 136. I used to ride my 144 on the trail and it was just fine

I went from 121 triples to a 144 twin. It does just fine on the trail, although I don't have a deep lug. You can feel that extra weight behind you on steep declines and when going down a tight descent - it kinda pushes itself where it wants to go.
